An airstrike was declared in the capital at 06:29 due to the threat of Russian UAVs. Correspondents of Suspilny reported explosions on the left bank. Later, the city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko informed that in the Darnytskyi district, previously, fragments of a drone fell on the roof of a four-story office building. A fire broke out there on the top floor.
Later, the State Emergency Service clarified that as a result of being hit by a Russian drone, a fire broke out on the first floor of a three-story office and warehouse building.
“The fire was localized at 07:35 on an area of 125 sq m, and at 08:07 it was extinguished. 40 rescuers and 9 units of special fire and rescue equipment worked at the scene,” the State Emergency Service said.
Yesterday, April 3, Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region and the capital with drones and missiles. According to the Kyiv OVA, one person was killed and eight others were injured in the strike.
The consequences were recorded in the Buchanan, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts.
In particular, a veterinary clinic in Chabany, Fastiv district, was damaged by a Russian drone attack. According to the Kyiv Veterinary Service, about 20 animals that were being treated and kept at the facility died. The veterinary clinic's employees were not injured.
