
Border guards rescued a man from Kyiv in the Carpathians. The man was trying to illegally cross the border and got lost. He was taken to the hospital.

It is noted that law enforcement officers were checking information about a person in the border zone. It turned out that a 35-year-old Kyiv resident wanted to illegally cross the state border.
“For this, he chose a high-mountainous area, but due to difficult weather conditions and significant snow cover, he lost orientation and was unable to continue moving independently,” the report says.

The man was found and evacuated from the mountainous area. The offender was taken to the Rakhiv Central District Hospital. According to the doctors' conclusion, he was diagnosed with general hypothermia.
Protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up against the man, provided for in Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine” and Part 1 of Article 202 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – “Violation of the border regime, the regime at checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine or the regime rules at entry-exit checkpoints”. In the future, the court will determine the punishment.
