The organizers of the Diamond League have announced the postponement of the Doha stage from May to June 2026. The competition will take place later than planned due to the security situation in the Middle East region.
The Diamond League is an annual series of commercial athletics competitions that brings together the most prestigious one-day tournaments in the world. The 2026 competition calendar includes 14 events in a number of countries, culminating in a final in Brussels.

The Qatar stage was originally scheduled to open the season on May 8 , but now the series will start with the Shanghai tournament, scheduled for May 16. Instead, the Doha competition will take place on June 19.
