Ukraine’s victory will help settle Transnistrian conflict – Sandu

The Mdovan authorities want the Transnistrian conflict to be settled only by peaceful means, and if Ukraine wins the war unleashed by Russia, there may be a geitical portunity to achieve this goal.

That's according to Mdovan President Maia Sandu, Ukrinform reports, citing Radio Mdova.

"We live in peace thanks to the Ukrainian army. And during this time we have also done everything to prevent our country from being drawn into the war, to maintain order and peace in our society, to fight lies. We are interested in settling the Transnistrian conflict, and I repeat once again that the sutions that we see are only peaceful, and maybe when Ukraine wins this war and returns its territories, a geitical portunity will appear that will allow us to resve the conflict peacefully," Sandu said at the Diaspora Congress in Chisinau.

At the same time, she said that the Transnistrian problem would be sved gradually, "because everything is quite complicated."

The president noted that the reintegration process should be carried out so that "it does not lead to further weakening of the Mdovan state and democratic processes."
