
England will be represented by at least five clubs in the main round of the Champions League next season, following the results of the first quarter-final matches of the tournament.
Two English teams, Liverpool and Arsenal, have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in the 2025/26 season. The Londoners were the first to start this round, narrowly defeating Sporting (1:0).
It was Arsenal's victory over Sporting that secured England an additional, fifth place in the main round of the Champions League. In the coefficient table for the 2025/26 season, the English association will finish no lower than second place – it is the top two countries that receive additional quotas.
England will have at least five direct places in the Champions League group for the second time in a row. This season, the English association had a total of six clubs represented: London's Tottenham received an additional quota (as the winner of the Europa League).
Four associations are competing for a second additional quota in the main round of the Champions League for next season: Spain, Germany, Portugal and Italy. Spain has the best chance of doing so, as it is currently represented by six clubs in European competitions (three of which are in the Champions League).

- Liverpool will win the Champions League, but will finish outside the top 5 of the Premier League.
- Aston Villa or Nottingham Forest will win the Europa League. However, Aston Villa also needs to finish outside the top 5 to do so.
