Budanov: Ukraine strengthens position in negotiations with Russia by attacks on oil infrastructure

Head of the Presidential Office Kirill Budanov stated that Ukraine's recent attacks on Russian oil infrastructure in the ports of Primorsk and Novorossiysk are affecting the country's position in negotiations with the Russian Federation.

Kyrylo Budanov announced this during a visit to the Transcarpathian region, a correspondent for Suspilny reports.

“Will this force the Russian Federation to change its position right now? The question is probably debatable. Well, we'll see. At the next negotiations with them, I think we'll hear a lot of new things. In any case, this significantly strengthens our position and does not make it, as they say, weak,” said Kirill Budanov.

Budanov emphasized that Ukraine must do everything possible to strengthen its negotiating position, using all available means.

“We must do everything to strengthen our position. And any means to achieve the goal are justified and correct. There is our national interest, and we will not stop,” Budanov said.

On April 5, Ukrainian unmanned systems forces struck the Transneft – Port Primorsk oil terminal in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation and the Russian Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Kstovo, Russia.

After that, it became known that the Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery, owned by Lukoil, had stopped operating.

On the night of April 6, Ukrainian unmanned systems forces struck the Russian frigate Admiral Makarov and the self-elevating floating drilling rig Syvash at the Sheskharis terminal, located in the city of Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, Russia.
