In Kyiv, a 49-year-old man was found guilty of raping an underage girl. The Desnyanskyi District Court sentenced him to 7 years in prison.

The investigation established that in August last year, a Kyiv resident saw a 15-year-old girl on the street and approached her to get acquainted. During the conversation, he gained her trust and then offered her alcohol.
He later invited the girl to his home, where he continued to treat her to alcohol. During the first meeting, the man showed no interest, pretending to be her friend. The next time he invited the girl to his home and raped her. The suspect was arrested in August 2025.
“In court, the accused pleaded not guilty, generally denying any close relationship with the teenage girl. Instead, his testimony was refuted by the examination,” the report says.
It was previously reported that a mother in Kyiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison for selling her five-year-old daughter to a man she knew for $100. The same sentence was given to a man who bought the child for sexual exploitation. The girl was placed in the care of specialists.
