Ukrainian basketball player Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk showed the second best performance in an NBA match in 2026. This happened in the game of the Utah Jazz against the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
Since February, Mykhailiuk has had limited NBA appearances for the Utah Jazz, appearing in only nine of 30 games. His last game was against the Phoenix Suns in late March, where he played 9 minutes but finished with 14 points.
Mykhailiuk's match against the Oklahoma City Thunder was even more productive. The Ukrainian started the game on the bench, but spent 23 minutes on the court.
Mykhailiuk finished the game against the Thunder with 17 points, the second-best result in 2026. In early February, the Ukrainian scored 18 points in Utah's winning game against the Indiana Pacers.
Mykhailiuk managed to score 15 of his 17 points thanks to 3-pointers. Overall, the Ukrainian made the most shots from beyond the arc in the entire season (14), but hit only five of them (35.7%).
With 17 points, Mykhailiuk also became the third most productive player for the Utah Jazz in the match — after Bryce Sensabeau (34 points) and Kyle Filipowski (20). At the same time, the Ukrainian became the best player on the team in terms of +/- — he finished the game with a score of (-2).
The Jazz lost the game against the Thunder 111-146. Utah didn't win a single quarter against Oklahoma City, and after the first 12 minutes they were down by 15 points.
After the loss to the Thunder, the Jazz are in last place in the Western Conference standings, with 21 wins after 79 games. The same number is for the Sacramento Kings, who are ahead of Utah in additional indicators.
The Jazz will play three more games before the end of the regular season. The next game, against the New Orleans Pelicans, will be on Wednesday, April 8.
