The Russians continue to shell Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, including Nova Poshta terminals. However, customers have the opportunity to get their money back for destroyed parcels.
How do I get compensation for a parcel?
To do this, you need to submit a special application. The company's press office provided details to RBC-Ukraine.
If a parcel has been destroyed as a result of a hostile attack, Nova Poshta will immediately inform the sender via SMS, Viber or an app, as well as a phone call.
The message contains instructions on how to file a claim for compensation. However, the company reimburses the sender in accordance with the terms of the transportation contract.
If the goods and delivery were paid for by the recipient, the sender may refuse compensation in their favor. Only in this case will the money be returned to the recipient.
In the absence of such a refusal, the recipient can only count on a refund for delivery if it was paid for through the application or at the operator's branch,

Please note! Usually, the processing of such requests takes several days. In the event of the destruction of the parcel due to a Russian strike, there are no refusals to return the money.
When a parcel is sent to a branch that has already been damaged by enemy fire, logistics are quickly reorganized. If there is a change in the delivery point, senders and recipients are also informed.
As a reminder, Nova Poshta previously denied rumors about an alleged “sale” of lost or unclaimed parcels. After the storage period expires, or if the shipment is refused, the company disposes of it.
