The Russian army has suffered losses again. On Wednesday, January 28, it became known that their aircraft were destroyed. One of the ships was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile system.
This was announced by the head of the Central Data Protection Agency, Andriy Kovalenko.
What is known about the shooting down of Russian planes?
The network has spread information that near Zmiiniy Island, Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down a Russian plane. In general, it is known about two possible losses of the enemy – Su-30 and Su-34 aircraft. Enemy propaganda communities write that the Su-30 was shot down by the Patriot air defense system over the Black Sea. What happened to the other plane is still unknown.
It is reported that the crew of one of the planes probably did not survive.
Information about the downing of the planes was disseminated unofficially, so comments are expected from the Air Force or the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is worth noting! From these aircraft, the Russians launched aerial bombs over Ukraine. The anti-record was recorded in October 2025. Then, from the Su-34, the occupiers carried out more than 5,328 drops on the positions of the Defense Forces and Ukrainian cities.

One of the cases occurred on the morning of September 25, 2025, when the defenders shot down a Russian Su-34 bomber that was dropping guided bombs on positions and the city of Zaporizhia. The plane was carrying out an air attack. After being hit, it probably fell near the occupied Vasylivka.
