Utah Jazz defender Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk is set to join the Ukrainian national team in the decisive matches of the 2026 Basketball World Cup qualifiers, said Volodymyr Drabikovsky, Secretary General of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.
In the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, the Ukrainian national team has two matches left in the first round: on July 2 and 5, the “blue-yellow” will meet the national teams of Georgia and Denmark, respectively.

At stake will be Ukraine's progress to the second round of qualification – for this, at least one of three conditions must be met.
