
Law enforcement officers in the Kyiv region have detained a local resident. He is suspected of trafficking weapons in one of the communities of the Buchansky district.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kyiv region.
Police suspect a 58-year-old resident of the village of Chervona Sloboda. According to the case materials, the suspect sold the machine gun for $1,480.

During a search of the man's home, law enforcement officers discovered and seized money and 5.45 mm cartridges. He is currently being held in a temporary detention center, police said.
The investigation is ongoing into the illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of firearms without a permit provided for by law (Part 1, Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years of imprisonment.
It was previously reported that law enforcement officers in the Bila Tserkva region exposed a 35-year-old man. According to the case materials, the suspect illegally purchased and stored unified grenade fuses at home, after which he sold them for 1,000 hryvnias. The police also established that the suspect sold two hand offensive grenades and two fuses for 5,000 hryvnias.
