All participants of the Final Four of the Volleyball Champions League have been determined: who will play and when

The quarterfinal matches in the Volleyball Champions League have concluded, forming the pairs of opponents at the start of the Men's Final Four.

According to the results of the 1/8 finals of the Volleyball Champions League, three teams advanced to the quarterfinals, while five teams received tickets to the quarterfinals of the Champions League immediately: the Polish “Lublin”, “Zawierce”, the Turkish “Ziraat Bankasi”, as well as the Italian “Perugia” of Oleg Plotnytskyi and “Lube Civitanova”.

In the first quarterfinal matches, the leaders were the Ukrainian teams “Project Warsaw” of Yuriy Semenyuk and “Perugia” of Oleg Plotnytsky, as well as the Polish “Zawierchye” and the Turkish “Ziraat Bankasi”.

How the second legs of the quarterfinals went

  • “Lublin” (Poland) — “Project Warsaw” (Poland) — 3:2 (21:25, 18:25, 25:22, 32:30, 15:12)

The first match was 1:3 in sets.

  • “Perugia” (Italy) – “Las Palmas” (Spain) – 3:0 (25:18, 25:21, 25:23).

The first match was 3:2 in sets.

  • “Zawierce” (Poland) – “Lube Civitanova” (Italy) – 3:0 (25:22, 25:18. 26:24).

The first match was 3:0 in sets.

  • “Ziraat Bankasi” (Turkey) – “Rzeszow” (Poland) – 3:0 (25:22, 25:19. 25:21)

The first match was 3:0 in sets.

Poland retained the largest representation in the Final Four: in addition to Semenyuk's “Project Warsaw”, “Zaverchye” made it to the top 4, defeating “Lube Civitanova” for the second time in three games.

Only in one pair was another winner determined after the first matches: “Lublin” in a strong-willed style defeated “Proekt” on its own court, but lost on aggregate in two matches. In the other pairs, “Perugia”, “Zaverchye” and “Ziraat Bankasi” each won two victories.

In the semifinals, “Zaverchye” will play against “Ziraat”, while the teams of Ukrainians Semenyuk and Plotnytskyi will meet in a pair – “Project Warsaw” against “Perugia”.
