Is it possible to register in a house without the owner's consent?

The procedure for registering a place of residence allows you to register only in your own home or in a home whose owner has consented to registration, reports “Fakty ICTV”.

The owner of the premises and his co-owners must provide consent to the registration of third parties who do not have ownership rights to this premises. Consent can be provided in person, in notarial form or in electronic form, in accordance with the lease agreement or by the body maintaining the specialized institution.

According to experts, in the absence of one's own home or at least a share of ownership in a residential building, it is possible to register only with the consent of the owner.

Remember! In Ukraine, there is no way to register without a homeowner or without ownership of the home. You can register your place of residence at the ASN or online, but you will not be able to register without the consent of the homeowner, since when submitting documents for registration, you must provide the passport and code of the person who wishes to register, as well as the passport and code of the homeowner and legal documents proving ownership of the home.

How to register online and offline?

If you have received consent for registration from the owner, you can register as follows:

  • Registration of residence online through the Diya portal . After entering the registration address, the owner will receive an electronic request for consent to the registration of the place of residence of the person creating the corresponding request. After confirmation by the owner, Diya transfers the relevant information to the registration department, which is responsible for registration.
  • Registration at the Administrative Services Centers at the place of residence. To do this, you must submit documents in paper form and present the consent of the apartment owner. Such consent can be provided in person or through a notarized power of attorney or application.

  • The land under the house needs to be privatized in order to be able to use it, donate it, register an inheritance, sell it, or otherwise alienate it.

  • Registration of the plot is carried out by the territorial department of the State Land Agency, and for this it is necessary to submit an application with copies of documents and a receipt for payment of services.
