Russia has again launched a massive attack on Western Ukraine with “Shaheds”. Now the enemy is acting somewhat atypically, as the recent attacks are different from others.
Military expert Vladislav Seleznyov told Channel 24 that usually some western regions do not suffer from attacks by Russian drones. This time, explosions were heard in Frankivsk, Transcarpathia, and Chernivtsi regions. In particular, the enemy attacked critical infrastructure facilities.
What distinguishes the recent attacks on Ukraine?
According to Seleznev, there is nothing surprising in the fact that Russia continues to engage in terrorism. But it is quite unusual that they began to launch strike drones not at night, but during the day. The occupiers need to find out important information.
The enemy decided to test the effectiveness of our air defense system in this way, attacking energy, communication, and infrastructure facilities. This is also deep into our territory,
– said Seleznev.
Pay attention! Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and political scientist Andriy Tkachuk also noted that the drone attacks during the day are somewhat of a surprise. He suggested why the Russians are using such tactics now.
It is quite likely that the Russians are looking for ways to bypass the Ukrainian air defense system. It is important for them to find atypical routes so that the drones will cause a lot of problems.
The enemy's atypical actions are due to the fact that they wanted to achieve maximum results through non-standard routes. All so that the maximum number of those UAVs would reach the designated targets,
– noted Seleznev.
Russia's gains on the front are actually quite insignificant, given the colossal losses. That is why they continue to engage in terrorism, attacking civilians.
