Fell into a mine at an abandoned water pumping station: Kyiv region rescuers pulled the girl from a depth of 8 meters

In the Kyiv region, rescuers pulled a girl out of a mine on the territory of an abandoned station. The incident occurred in the Bila Tserkva region.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region.

It is noted that a group of teenagers were celebrating a birthday at a defunct water pumping station. One of them fell into the mine.

Rescuers saw that at a depth of about 8 meters, in water and garbage, there was a girl born in 2009. With the help of special rescue equipment, emergency workers raised the child to the surface and handed her over to medics.

“The victim was injured and suffered hypothermia,” the report says.

Parents are urged to pay more attention to their children's leisure time and explain to them the dangers of staying at abandoned and potentially dangerous sites. Even a short stay in such locations can lead to tragic consequences, rescuers note.
