
Today, March 25, a fire broke out in a four-story residential building in the Buchanskyi district of the Kyiv region. Rescuers evacuated 12 people, one person died.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region.
It is noted that the Rescue Service received a report of a fire in the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka.
It was discovered at the scene that an apartment on the third floor of a four-story building was on fire. 12 people were evacuated from the building, including 1 child.
“While extinguishing the fire, rescuers discovered a man born in 1985 in extremely serious condition. Firefighters immediately provided him with first aid and tried to save him to the last, but unfortunately, the man died,” the report says.
The fire was extinguished after about half an hour. The cause of the fire is being determined.

“It has been previously determined that the cause of the fire could have been a short circuit in the charging station located in the apartment. The rescuers will provide the police with final conclusions regarding the causes of the fire,” the law enforcement agency said in a statement.
Investigators have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Article 270 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the requirements of fire or technogenic safety established by law, which caused a fire and death of people.
Earlier it was reported that over 40 wildfires broke out in the Kyiv region during the day. In total, rescuers extinguished over 10 hectares. One person died in one of them.
This happened in Skvir in the Bila Tserkva region. According to preliminary information, the owner of the land plot was burning dead wood. Due to the strong spread of the fire, the situation got out of control and the man fell into the flames. He received fatal injuries.
