WBO President Gustavo Oliveri recommended that the Championship Committee appoint Moses Itauma as the mandatory challenger for the title fight, he wrote on the social network X.
The day before, 21-year-old Briton Itauma defeated American Jermaine Franklin by knockout in the fifth round – Moses landed an uppercut, then a straight punch to the face. Thanks to this, Itauma (14-0, 12 KOs) retained the WBA International and WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight titles.
