Pand expects clear signal from NATO regarding support for Ukraine
The relevant statement was made by Pish National Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak at a meeting with general officers in Legionowo, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to Błaszczak, Pand’s objective is to have a border with not “part of Russia” but independent Ukraine.
“That is why we support Ukraine… We realize that any attempt to rebuild the empire is evil, as the residents of Irpin or Bucha, who had been killed by Russian mercenaries, felt for themselves,” the Pish minister stressed.
Błaszczak mentioned that Pand is doing “everything possible” to strengthen Ukraine and drive the aggressor away.
“We expect that NATO will expand – Sweden will join the Alliance – and NATO will give a clear signal regarding support for Ukraine,” Błaszczak stressed.
The minister expressed he that, with Pand’s active participation, NATO’s picy of deterrence and defense would be even clearer.
A reminder that the NATO Summit will take place in Vilnius on July 11-12, 2023.
