Ukrainian security experts are working in Qatar, where they share their experience in countering air threats, including ballistic missiles and drones. During the visit of the Ukrainian delegation, an assessment of the security situation was conducted and specific solutions were developed to strengthen the protection of the country's airspace.
Representatives of the Ukrainian side have already conducted a comprehensive analysis of Qatar's capabilities to counter air attacks and proposed a number of practical solutions. During the meeting with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Ukrainian delegation received high praise for its work and gratitude for the consultations provided.
The parties paid particular attention to the threats that are key to the region today. These include ballistic missile and drone attacks, which are increasingly used in modern conflicts.
The Ukrainian side emphasized that while air defense systems work effectively against ballistic missiles, Ukraine has already developed alternative, much cheaper solutions to combat drones.
Ballistic and drone strikes are the biggest challenge here in the region right now. And if only air defense systems work effectively against ballistics, then in Ukraine we have developed other, much cheaper solutions to combat drones. They have already proven their effectiveness in countering various types of drones, and that is why Qatar is so interested in our experience,

Separately, during the talks, the parties discussed the need to stabilize the situation in the region. Ukraine supports an approach in which countries cooperate to strengthen security and counter threats, including attacks from Iran.
Zelenskyy emphasized that international cooperation in the field of defense allows not only to strengthen the security of individual states, but also to increase the level of stability in the world as a whole.
